Brewers Notes
This is a traditional alcoholic ginger beer with a distinctly adult taste. Brewed using malted barley and wheat, it has a recognisably 'beery' flavour although it contains NO hops. We use loads of fresh root ginger, some lemons and a small amount of organic cane sugar along with the malts... and that's it.

A rich, dark ruby beer with a thick, creamy head. Vinous and bitter plum aromas blend with brich, fruity sweetness suggesting honey and figs eith rum soaked raisins. There is a lovely, lingering bitterness which rounds off this old style ale.

Aromatic hops, toasted cereal notes and hints of smoke and spice kindle White Shield's embracing nose, enhanced by fragrant fruity characters, the faintest whiff of exotic cheese, and an intricate top-note of freshly baked bread.

tangerine aroma from the finishing hop,light and soft bodied with a citrus zest/fresh pinewood flavour and an appetisingly dry and bitter finish.

Commissioned by Gateshead Council to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the iconic Angel of the North sculpture, this pale copper ale is a well balanced bitter with a citrus character in the aroma and finish given by the Cascade hops.

A truly well balanced golden ale. Brewed with Maris Otter, Munich and Crystal Malt for light caramel notes. The Northern Brewer bittering hops are complimented with two varieties of American hops for citrus flavours and aroma.

A dark ale brewed with Maris Otter and a little crystal malt for a subtle biscuit flavour. The four hop varieties provide a fine balance and characterise the beer with a spicy citrus finish.
